Always Waiting

Who could have contemplated the way we met?

Everything was disconcerted in both of our lives at that time.

We immediately became friends on the night I can't ever forget.

Then one thing lead to another & a connection developed.

It only took us a few days of talking,

Before I saw how much of a great guy you really were.

I tried to stop it, but my heard just kept levitating.

Just the resonance of your voice caused me turmoil.

You appeared to be interested in our situation,

Especially when we shared that little moment of desire.

But then you became full of confusion,

And talked of only wanting me to be your friend... right now.

I opened my heart and took a chance for you,

But that just caused me nothing but an hour full of tears.

You continued to say sweet things & now I don't know what to do.

I still have these feelings, but I will give you your space.

I never thought that I'd fall this hard & fast for anyone,

And then you came into my life when I least expected it.

It just appears that nothing can get rid of my emotions.

You ask me for forbearance, but I just don't know if I can give that to you or not.

I want to remain here until you need me;

And then again, I don't.

But as soon as I think about losing you, I instantly become queasy.

So... I'll continue to be your friend until you get your life organized.

Just remember that I may be here waiting now,
