I once knew a girl
Who lived a normal and happy life
Growing up she was alone
But content to be free in her mind
The girl grew up
And so did the world around her
But she still stayed content
Always a smile on her face
Pretty soon she was no longer a girl
But a young lady
Soon to be a woman
Then one day many years later
This girl met a boy
And everything changed
No longer was this girl content to be free in her mind
But happy to be by this boy’s side
He made her laugh
He made her smile
And when she cried, he held her tight
The girl loved the boy
And the boy loved her
They did everything together
Neither one could be without the other.
The girl’s family didn’t understand
And told her she was too young
She refused to listen
“You should wait” they said
“Your too young” they told her
But the girl knew they were wrong
She knew they couldn’t understand
In her heart she knew what made her happy
Inside she knew what it would be like
If she was no longer with the boy
And so her family tried to keep them apart
And the girl’s heart broke each day
“Its for the best” they told her
And she tried to listen
But everyday she grew colder
And more miserable without the boy
She would try to remember all the times
When he made her smile
And that broke her again
It got to be so much for her
That she stopped leaving the house
And just stayed in bed
For her heart was breaking
And though some may not believe
That girl died.
Now some may say
That she would’ve been better off never meeting that boy
That she was fine the way she was
But all true lovers who read this
Will know that once you find love
There’s no going back
And no matter how much pain you go through
It’s always worth it, for true love.
The girl was never truly happy
Until that day when she met that boy
And that boy was never complete
Until he met that girl.
One without the other
Apart, they’ll be what they’ve always been
But together, they are what their truly meant to be.
That girl died.
She died of a broken heart.
And the boy was never seen again.
