It seems to me

Everything we've been through

Only proves our strength in numbers

Shows that we can overcome anything

The shadows that try to steal our hearts

Dissipate under the burning sun

And fade away with our hatred



Come now and show me again

What it means to feel alive

I'll know that this is our promise

To forever remain by each others side

But the heart desires in its own ways

Uncontrolled and wild

It constantly reaches out for you

No grasp within arms reach



There's nothing settling about this

Being limited at my distance

Loneliness is the fear that binds my heart

I'll seek to overcome

And unlock the potential inside

To show you all along

Where my heart was trying to hide



Rest your head and close your eyes

Sleep brings the hope of a new day

Tomorrow will be another fight to the end

One more struggle to find again

The love I once had

Give it time, give it time

I shall be with you once more my friend
