As I sit here in the evening

with nothing left to do,

my mind begins wandering

to special thoughts of you.



The way you make me feel

brings joy to my heart,

and then I find myself praying

nothing will keep us apart.



You bring me happiness

and more love than I have ever known

and since the day I met you,

I am amazed at how I've grown.



You're here to stay in my heart,

I never want you to go,

I will never forget you,

That I want you to know.



So, when you're feeling lonely

with nothing much to do,

as you sit back and close your eyes

just remember, I love you.



I will be here waiting

to get down on one knee,

please let me stand by your side,

that's where I want to be.
