To The One I Hold Dearest

Mine eyes art heedless to what they see;
They say thou art unsightly.
Thine outer self hath blinded them
To the beauty that's inside thee.
With cruèl malice to-ward all
Their odium shall make them fall.
Listen not to what they say,
Their words will forceth thee to stall.
But look inside thyself and know
The lovliness that thou dost show.
The beauty that I see within
Is more than what is seen by foe.
And nonetheless I love thee so.
My darling, thou art lovely.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this poem in 11th grade, for no paricular reason. Didn't even have a boyfriend at the time, actually. :)

Didn't have any boyfriend ! ! ? ? You could have taken you both to the furthest stars with emotions like this ! ! ! Did you realize you have written a Sonet here ?? And a very good one. A few changes and it will be a PERFECT one. Teddy
