Wandering

On my walk in the night

In passing of time

Your face appeared, as always

And I thought it an angel

Come to save and soothe my soul

And in remembrance, I smiled

Knowing it was my love

Missed, but never to leave

Appeasing a lonely heart

Words shouted their need

A poem of love to mend time

But alas, no words surrendered

For they had all been used

Mine would be but a mimic

Their words would do you no justice

A song perhaps?

But my voice was of tears

And your melody

Played only in my mind

Silence followed my footsteps

On my walk in the night

While in my mind

A tear and smile danced

In lonely rhyme
