My Heart
If You leave take it with you
You have had it for a time,
It will always be yours
And no longer be mine.
Just put it in your pocket
And know that it's there,
Where ever you go
Anytime,Anywhere.
You dont have to love it
It wont take up any room,
It will be a reminder
When our love was in bloom,
It may help in a hard time
When things get too rough,
Just put your hand in your pocket
And think back on our love.
So if you leave take it with you
It was yours from the start,
And keep it in your pocket
What used to be MY HEART
Buren, this is beautiful. I have a feeling that your heart has known its share of abuse and over-working. It shows in your poetry. God bless you, my friend.
