All my yesterdays I acted like a child

So wrapped up in things I couldn’t control

“What’s in it for me?”

Is what you would’ve typically heard me say

That was yesterday



I’ve loved

I’ve lost

And in the midst of it all

I’ve grown and learned

There’s more to life than just me



I’ve pinned the blame on the innocent

But blindfolded sometimes it just didn’t fit

I wasn’t strong enough then

But now I’m taking all the pain and pinning it on myself

I’m sorry, now seeing how I effected you with my mistakes



I’ve loved

I’ve lost

And in the midst of it all

I’ve grown and learned

There’s more to life than just me



Maybe you could wipe this clean

Cause I’m coming back

And I’m different

Today I’m a man
