The butterflies return,

With each simplicity you speak,

It took some years to figure out,

That you hold what I seek.

I’ve been treated second best,

But you turned that around.

You showed me adoration,

Better than any I’ve ever found.

I feel like I can rule the world

With how you make me feel.

You’re cute, you’re funny, you’re extra sweet,

And you keep it “on the real”.

I’ve never felt so great,

About myself in so very long.

But everything’s been changing,

Ever since you came along.

You strolled into my screwed up world,

Ignoring how it seemed.

Then you took my hand- and pulled me up,

And carried me into a dream.

So as we dance upon our cloud,

And as the soft wind blows-

You spin me ‘round, and kiss my cheek,

As my eyes begin to close.

A shudder rushes up my spin,

A smile crosses my face…

And as we waltz- up on our cloud

I realize I’ve found my place.
