She walks on sharp egshells everytime.
The slightest mistake
may set off his explosive temper.
"Watch what you say, careful of how you act,"
the voices insider her remind her.
Like an abused puppy, her emotions retract
at the swing of his words
and the things he doesn't do.
It tears her insides to shreds.
So she goes on with her daily life, empty,
seeking through others
if something is wrong with her.
The blame always returns back to her.
Questions arise in her fragile mind
without any signs of answers.
Confiding in the people who know her best,
tears flowing faster than blood through her veins
and the bleeding heart in her chest.
