Holy Passion
Ah! Let us share ourselves and the rest
of the world take care of itself and their petty
squabbles, their Jealousies, their unacceptable
violence! Let us banish the sun and consort
with the moon in the sea-tides of our love
till time is no more and space the contours
of our bodies, the stars the glow in our eyes,
the scents of our love all the perfumes
of the Orient. For we are the universe
and the universe is us; thus, if we make
love to each other, greed, and violence,
and death will be no more. We shall jump
the hours that are not ours, transcend
all time, and live forever in holy passion spent.

As in the protestations of the 60's, "Make Love not War" *; time has just gone by and "history still repeats itself"*.
When will we as humans learn? Will our words ever sink into the generations to come after us? Your words, so true and meaningful, are shared for those, with any iota of intelligence, who should learn and live to their full extent.

You are definitely right about humankind not learning from the past, and being led by negative passions like hatred, jealousy, and greed.
