hurricane

im a hurricane,

a swirling chaotic clumsy mess, leaving only distruction in my wake.

a distant blur barely recognised by each passing face.

glass shatters and beneath my unstable feet the ground qakes.

i spin once more as my thoughts and feelings collide,

drowning beneath the earths prohibiters eyes.

i feel the magnetisum twists, turns and pulls me down,

my head rushes as my thoughts swirl round and round.

the fear on my prey's face as i come crashing down,

destroying their peace and stealing dangers crown.

the shards of glass sucked into my dark twisting clouds of dust,

confusion and pain as the destruction sets an internal combust.

i am a hurricane,

i destroy myself while causing you pain.

Sometimes

  • A hurricane is a hurricane. "Thoughts and feelings collide" suggest a metaphor and personification or anthropomorphism - a storm thinking may offer perspective.  All disasters also work -Pandemics, forest fires, floods et al. Personal imagery also works - the poet as circumspect.
