Gods

Oh that I were Atlas

I'd hold the world for you

And if I were Chronos

I would stop time, too

If only I were Helios

I would light your way

If I had the feet of Hermes

By your side I'd stay

If I were Zeus it would

Never pour, but rain

And I would always ensure

You saw the sun again

If I were Posidon,

For you the ocean would part

Even if I were Eros

I would beg for your heart

If I were Ares

I'd take on the earth

and if I were Bacchus

I'd fill your cup with mirth

I am none of these

I am only mortal man

None of these things can I do

But offer my love I can
