HOPE

(To a Haiku, #12, by "HOPE":

Your arms shake like twigs

as you hide me from the ghosts

that slap at my face.)

1.  Oh!,

I'm just as aware

of YOUR ghosts, as those from which

your arms defend me.

2.  Oh!,

keep me in your arms:

ghosts can't invade such refuge,

for WE are too real!

3.  Oh!,

the presence of ghosts

indicates a sort of past

where ghosts came to LIFE!

4.  Oh!,

HOLD TIGHT!  Don't let ghosts

slip inside of our embrace!

Never let me go!

5.  Oh!,

inside our embrace

there is such peace, such SWEET PEACE!

N E V E R   L E T   M E   G O!!!
