Death’s thick, sick, red tears;
Death’s harsh, metal-voiced shriek:
Death’s universal call:
“ One size fits all!! “
Death’s never-sated appetite;
Death’s eternal thirst for blood;
Death cries : “More! More! “
“WAR” does not care about the "SCORE"!
War was that Lady of the Night of Death
Who pimped us all away to her beds.
War was THEIR WAY;
But now WE know what to say!! : :
Men, women, children, baby, aged; Remember your Vets-—those who are lost still lost.
THEIR victory has not come yet!! We who’ve returned WILL NOT FORGET!!
You once commented that I had been there or at least was close enought to smell it. Well, you write from the view of the player on the field, I write from the view of the reporter telling about it. From either position, it gets upclose and personel. Tell it like it is, don't sugarcoat it, especially about the battles in the mind that occure after the physical combat is over. There is where the real colateral damage is.
