What then?

Folder:
Oldies :)

What happens when the doctor's sick?
The florist has no flowers to pick?
Your clock stops saying tick-tock-tick?
--What happens then?

You're fishing in a restless tide,
No one left in whom you can confide,
And even the walls are spaces wide...
--What happens then?

The sun has become as dark as night,
Your dress is perfect but your shoes are too tight,
Your best friends rude, your enemies polite
--What happens then?

The planes -- man-made -- refuse to fly,
Blue no longer conceals the sky,
The ones you love decide to die...
--What happens then?

Your hands aren't the only thing that feel,
For your heart now understands what's real,
The pain of it all makes your blood congeal,
--What happens then?

When your doctor's sick,
There are no more flowers to pick,
And your clock will just not tick,
...Smile anyway.

If the fish are gone,
Everything has gone wrong,
You just can't get along,
...Just smile.

The sun isn't bright,
Can't get the shoes right,
Just want to pick that fight...
...Smile.

If your plane is late,
Sky's dark as slate,
All you can feel is hate...
...Try and smile.

Your heart will lighten,
Your world will brighten,
Smiling's contagious and then...
...We can smile.
