HAIKU, TANKA

this chill that

comes with autumn

the memory of your warmth

and lost years trail off

with the wind

rain - dad, mom and child

negotiate the space

under the umbrella

all the tourists say

my country is beautiful

we put on smiles as we

meet them but i know it would

be years before we would really be beautiful

these malays i love

them for everything, culture

language but there is something

in them that rejects me and

i feel it so deeply inside

the jews accused of

controlling the world by proxy

but if just a few million of them

could do that to the billions

then they clearly deserve it!

meeting these White men

that inadequacy that still

runs inside, a superior being

my heart refuses to accept

but they do appear smarter

these parents, they would have

carved out a bright future

for their child if they stop

passing racist remarks

about their neighbours

OIC meeting

mahathir slaps the muslims

but strips the Jews

old photo -

reluctantly

looking at myself

old photo -

the heat in my face

as i look at myself

old photo -

wondering who is

the next has been

dusting the mat

a spindly spider

distingrates in the bitumen heat
