I'm running through the actions,
but I'm not all there.

I'm doing what's expected,
but I'm not paying attention.

I act like I understand,
but I cannot concentrate.

I'm acting out the motions,
but don't remember doing them.

I'm here with my body,
but not with my heart,
and not with my mind.

I'm moving through the day
like a robot, following commands.

My movements don't seem
like they're my own.

I'm being told what to do,
by someone who I can't see.

They've gotten a remote controller,
and have gotten me to follow it.

I'm distracted from what I'm doing,
for some reason I'm not sure.

I'll figure it out, eventually,
but for right now, I can only
follow the directions given to me.
