I walk out on the deck,
and I see you standing there.
The cool wind begins to blow,
and theres a calmness in the air.
You stare out on the water,
under the star filled sky.
You flip your hair around your shoulder,
and I catch a glimpse of your eye.
You didn't see me standing there,
just admiring the view.
Of the water swaying by,
and just watching you.
It's like a moment in a movie,
where the romance is in the air.
And the guy kisses the girl,
and strokes his hand through her hair.
But this isn't a movie,
though this moment seems like it is.
The guy doesn't get the girl,
or that starry skied kiss.
So, I sigh and look on,
and just turn and walk away.
I just lost the greatest moment,
but maybe this wasn't my day.
