I write about the pain that one feels in his heart,
My life, my world- Hard to tell them apart.
But I bring you into my world- So you can understand my life,
To show you that someone understands your fight.
This is what I write- Whether wrong or right,
But you relate to me- 'Cuz you see that I know what it's like.
I show you the worst of my world- Through the best of me,
It's the best of the curse- Expressed in the words you read.
I plant knowledge in your head- Making you see more clearly,
An eye opening experience- It brought you near me.
Because now you feel me- I've chosen to reveal me,
In the process I revealed the real you- And if only for a moment,
I somehow healed you- Bringing out your best,
And making it shine through the worst- But you still hurt.
But you remember that suffering is gain- And that Love is Pain,
And that the sun is always shining somewhere when it rains.
I show you the gift through the curse- Subliminal messages in each verse,
Each painfully written line- Is a thought directly from my mind,
I critique and test each word I invest,
Going over each possible word- To see which fits best.
And I bring out your best- As you read each line,
Giving you a piece of mind- As you explore through mine.
