What would you do if you never had me,
You wouldn’t be where you are if you didn’t have me.
I got you confidence, and closure, Love and respect,
And what do I get, Not a damn thing yet.
You throw me around like you don’t even care,
Put a burden on me that even you couldn’t bare.
It’s through me you express yourself ‘cuz you have no other way,
Matta fact I helped your ass just the other day.
You all stressed out and didn’t know what to do,
And it was me you called on to try and help you.
Having our little conversation and keeping track of it all,
I never turn my back on you no matter how big or small.
But I know for a fact that you probably take me for granted,
Until after our talks when I leave you enchanted.
If you were to lose me you’d never write again,
But damn, I guess that’s life when you’re born a pen.
