The heartbeat of my universe
that electrifies the marrow of my bones
You are a stone, ageless and incredible
A plentiful font of gratitude without end,
Who taught me love and contentment and pleasure,
Who taught me to live again
Who shared meals with me in multiversial excitement
Who pleases me without end, in any way I desire
I love you, and I have always loved you, from the
moment I heard you speak to the moment I give this to you.
You, until our love ceases
Tumultuously and contentedly since you taught me
That two things can be true, so
temporarily I only have this life
And though it is not much of one anymore
It's what I can give, for now
I wish to spend it healing, creating new memories
and new experiences, and being fulfilled for once.
For once, I wish to give as I've been given from you
unabashed portions of my recollected soul
puzzle pieces that you've helped recreate
You deserve to be as happy as you’ve made me
and I'll find you again, when we become
something other than ourselves now.
This is a fairytale, I promise, not a tragedy.
We will carve a new landscape together
where everything you need can at least be within reach
and I can lend even some solace to quell your aching soul,
I will waltz with you in your darkest of places, I will boast to you through their quiet slumber
I will be there, my beguiling everything, unafraid, and I will be better for you every day
As you are for me
What a delight to discover a
What a delight to discover a superior sculptor of words! I was seized by the first line and held spellbound throughout by the casual dexterity, the intense truth of it, the beautiful, beautiful realness that gleams even brighter than the artistry. Which is considerable!
You end this magnificently crafted, sigh-worthy, elevated heartsong the best way a love poem can end: with a promise. And that promise, that gift, is love itself.
Wow! And Wow!
Thank you so much
To have the acknowledgement from someone as yourself, an accomplished and award winning writer, I'm absolutely elated to her you enjoyed my work. I hope the rest of it brings you to similar places.
Thank you again~ you're awesome
I am an old man, and I have
I am an old man, and I have been reading Poetry for fifty years as of this past April. Your Poem is one of the best I have ever read at PostPoems. It resonates with profoud human wisdom and experience, and it is written in a conversational manner, like words overheard in a live setting in real time. That gives it a tremendous immediacy and power.

Thank you, that's quite
Thank you, that's quite wonderful of you to say. My gratitude in that regard is ineffable. I have been inspired to finish some hanging projects and I don't write often, so your kind words are greatly encouraging~
I hope you will finish more
I hope you will finish more hanging projects and post them here. I do not always keep up well with my reading committments. My health seems to be declining a little more rapidly this summer than I had expected, and I cannot always concentrate on my reading.
