You always thought you could control me,

made me check in with you all the time.

Those days are over now,

I finally got you out of my mind.



It's not love if there isn't any trust,

It's not trust when you question what I say.

The hardest thing was breaking free from you,

Now I'm free every single day.



At first it was a challenge,

Every single moment I thought of you.

To think I actually cried that much,

I didn't know what to do.



I'm stronger than ever before,

I never thought I'd make it on my own.

I found the closure I needed so much,

I'm going to make it on my own.
