snowflakes falls gently against my window pane
as the wind and rain howls
like tormented lost souls
all across the midnite skies
evil lurks to take yet another
air thick of ice swims
across the coldness of my
dim lit room
console my body
beneath the warmth
of my bed
tossing and turning
til it hurts my head
sleep beckons
the dreamworld calls
spirts wings dances
against my wall
time standstill
slumbers on reverse
as my eyes grows heavy
the echoes deminished
the only sound heard is
the beating of my torn heart
aching
like a lost wondering child
why now in this cold winters dream
I lay here
blinded by passion
that once grace my empty life
close this heart and
these sad driven eyes
curse for all eternity
silent lies
feast upon my weakness
devour my pride
I am nothing but
a empty shell
Are you content
Are you satisfied
that here lies a woman
who already died
sleep beckons me
for this is my world
cold, it seems
forever lost
in my
Cold Winters Dream
