Beyond The Silent Sky
Up beyond the sky,
beyond where clouds drift by,
beyond those eons of blackness
and anonymous planets
shines a bright and glowing
little star.
So white and knowing
and steadfast...
a silent star
that cannot be reached
by my mortal being
except through death's door...
I knew her once
before this life
and we were close... oh, so close,
'til death came
and brought a broken heart
... and still another death.
And now, our karma,
a vast separation of lovers
on separate ends
of a silent sky.
