Stop the damn guns and
let the earth lie calm,
though scorched black from bombs
and hot, fiery napalm!
It seems the hand of God
should thrust upon the scene
and stop the useless slaughter, so obscene!
Hasn't the world had enough
death and destruction
for one God's year?
