Could have been

Dirtied shirts wipe tears
3 last breaths show no colder
Swallowed into a hole we fought so hard
To keep us from our selves.
And pray to a cross that
Because we know so much
We understand so little.

While we praise the glow of a box
And sing the words of depleted depths.

Where love is a wall
We have all climbed before
Yet never sought to embrace fully
Because our eyelids stayed open.
And we stayed asleep.

Life as it were a pyramid
We could never find the shadow
To hide from the light
That told us we would all be okay
That also burned us much.

As for one day we all wished to find the light.
From the top.
But never once look at the ground.
Once we fall
We have but the ground to hold us.
And wish to be wiped away
Of all our unpureness.
Unpureness.
Pure.

Lies.
Unless you choose to stand in front of yourself.
And look yourself in the eye. The eye.
To realize you can hold your hand.
That the path is waiting where the sun won't burn.
No climbing.
To start over.
Again.
And hear what the wind says
Because it knows your heart better than you do.
So listen.
For once.
Don't just hear.

Simpatico moment

This a beautiful write, well constructed and subtle clues softly written with a stern undertone what a joy! Especially to see some of my own philosophy reflected so poignant and beautifully back at me! Congratulations fantastic piece! Loved it! Thanks SS :D
