I Have Seen The Wind

there is something about

the subtle way the wind

blows its wooden reedy flute

above the constant roar of the gusts below

listen hard to hear it

above the plane engine din

and you know the top of the world

Author's Notes/Comments:

Had this very poignant sense of... something today, while listening to the air currents.  The title is in response to a W.O. Mitchell book.  You know the one.
