As I sit and wait for the sun to set

I want to thank the almighty creator

And thank the local powers that be

For preserving some land for nature. 

Watching the wildlife doing their thing

Swimming gracefully in the pond

Calms my mind and refreshes my soul

With nature,  I increase my bond. 

As the sun gets lower the colors

Are changing, as the water

 now reflects in gold

The frogs are now croaking 

Their favorite song

Van Halen's  " Jump", is what 

I was told. 

Some fish are leaping into

The air, for what reason, 

I simply don't know

Perhaps they see the beautiful 

Sky,  and want to be part of the show. 

Or maybe there dancing

To the musical tones

That the frogs are providing 

For free,  

When the lyrics say " Jump"

They leap into the air

So everyone can see. 

The sun is now gone,  and 

The show is over

The wispy clouds have turned

To gray

The frogs and the fish have

Taken their bow

Sorry , no time for an 

encore today. .
