I had never before looked at Deuteronomy 28:48-48 in this context with John 10:10 today; and I must give a testimony to how this came about. I was recording a televised church service---a rather simple, listener-friendly, service---and, because of the early hour of the morning, I dozed off. Another televised service followed upon the first, but I had not programmed that to be recorded. When I woke up, about twenty minutes into the second broadcast, I noticed that my DVR was recording it, also, although I had not programmed it or directed it to do so. When I dozed off, I was not holding the remote control device, so it cannot be said that my hand may have accidentally pushed "record." That second broadcast, which featured the passage from Deuteronomy, was recorded for me, and I am not so much of a fool as to fail to recognize the significance of that.
