. . . Whoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.
---Romans 10:13
Oh Christ, my God and King, I pray that this promise be engraved
upon my every worshipful moment, and upon each prayer:
to thrive in faith and hope, nor ever submit to despair,
even when I fail You, or others, or fall, prone, into error
(like when the thorn in my side causes me the usual terror).
I call upon your Holy, Ineffable Name unto Salvation;
in you, my Savior, Jesus, my soul finds its exultation.
