At The Apostle Saint John's House In Jerusalem, 1

. . . that disciple took her unto his own home.

---John 19:27

After that, he was seen of James . . .
---1 Corinthians 15:7

I need to tell you this, my Blessed Mother:
I saw, just after dawn, my older Brother
arisen, as proclaimed, no longer dead:
just as you, and his friend the Magdalene,
and even Simon Peter, have all told
us.  Now the scandal of crude disbelief
gives way to glorious faith, just as dark grief

gives way to bright joy.  Oh, yes, I have seen
him with my own two eyes, in my own head.
He spoke to me, and offered to unfold
the Scriptures that have prophesied of Him.

Death brings no dread.  The grave is not, now, grim.
He died to save believers from their sin;
and those who die, trusting, shall live again.
His words encouraged me past any whim

of doubt, and I would gladly die for Him.
