Scraping bits of me off the floor
Wanting so desperately to put them back into me
Useless.
More of it gone,
that thing that was once apart of me now alien.
Nothing left to do but scramble hoping to find some basic ingredients for a rudementry replacement and hope it takes root.
Chances seem to fall from the sky as often as the dark rises to snatch them.
The thing is i dont know if im a chance ahead or if this is the last time.

Snatched from life and pulled from the sands of time

The little pieces that remain
Miss the bits that fell away
Desperation takes it's hold on me
And I don't recognize a thing I see
Anymore, anyhow, anyway
Desperation overtaking me
I lost what I thought once I'd be
Like before, losing out, as I fade
Chances falling from the sky
Lost to darkness; void of light
Reaching out hoping to find
Answers to the questions in my mind
And I don't know the truth that's inside
Missed my chance then ran out of time

oh man...
not just the fact that I naturally say "oh man" when I have point, regardless of the gender of the person i am speaking to, but more just how I can fill so many G words into this title and make sense of the poem in a different light!
