The clouds rolled in like thunder threatening
The heavens parted to seize the moment
Heralded angels sent to intervene but
The devil had his way.
Our eyes met through the flutter of angels wings
On the eve of our saviours day of rising
I was young, so young believing I knew it all
But I knew nothing of love till it did call.
Cheated from the beginning with vows tied to ordinary loves
It happened on a night that it shouldn't
The opposite of what that night called for
My heart awoke my senses failed and I had met true love
But like any other magnificence only time would tell
But the heartache never came, only love did.
And year after endless year, day after day
the mountain of love grew to a planet of its own,
It happened and it shouldn't have now the devil laughs at our
Faithfulness in body and infidelity of the heart
as our souls claw for each other at the bye
A hairs breath yet, an infinity away...
