TIMES REMEMBERED

                                 TIMES REMEMBERED

Sometimes when I'm alone with me
I think of days that used to be
When loving arms held me close
These are the times I miss you most

I really miss your laughing eyes
Filled with passion...blue as the skies
A ready smile, a compassionate ear
A friend to me, never a fear

When death came knocking on your door
You readied yourself ... asked no more
You said goodbye to family and friends
Times remembered ... beginnings and ends

Author's Notes/Comments:

This was written several years after my husband died.  I find that writing down my feelings somehow lessens the pain or at least makes it bearable.
