but here you stand

right by my side

I know you're scared

well I'm scared too



I didn't ask for this!

It chose me!

I didn't go looking for this!

It found me!



You can run and hide from this

But I'm still left to face the pain.

I'm so scared and so alone.

Why now, and why me?

I need you now.

Right here by my side.



Why can't I run far away?

Why can't I leave this far behind?

I just want you by my side.

I know you are angry and hurting.

Well so am I.



I just want to kill the beast

It's eating me from the inside

It's slow and calculating

Please kill it.  Kill the beast

I'm scared and alone.
