Every Day...to continue
"I write poems every day,
because I'm a poet.
I write poems every day;
because that's the best way
I know to express myself.
Every day I write a poem I
get better at what I own;
the passion for the spoken
word.
I don't have to write a poem
every day, but I chose too.
Not many of you will
understand the why? Only
creative minds like mine
understand the why?
We were poets before our
time, chosen before birth to
narrate life as we see it,
share feelings many keep
inside, share ideas and views
some consider bias.
For they say artists have a
troubled past they carry; I use
it today to inspire me, and
remind never to look back.
Although, at times I wonder
what will be of me if I wasn't
a poet?"
