Stained Glass

In through the night where tired eyes focus
and breathing becomes relaxed.
Desolate paths now surrounded by signs,
make my walk heavier, my direction much lighter.
Some lazy lush love sickness thickens the stains,
that were once thrown on the walls of these empty halls.
A suffer in silence distanced from years passed,
renews its light once again.
As with the light hitting every cut of this clear stone,
its vibe sends out an electric curse.
A spontaneous combustion of color meshes with time,
creating what you can't see.
Its warmth welcomes me with no ball and chain,
as I am a prisoner no more.
A lit candle sparks in a dark room where the doors remain unlocked
and the stained glass glows from your reflection.

Beautifully written.

Highly impressive poetry. Beautifully written, and so delicately composed. I found this to be a truly moving and passionate write. One of the finer romantic poems I have read on this site in quite some time. Thanks for posting this quality work.

"A lit candle sparks in a dark room where the doors remain unlocked

and the stained glass glows from your reflection." - Captivating.
