There's a limit to the turbulence today
A way to stifle the increasing delay
Small shards of the answer tumble into place
Something coherent screaming in your face
All things considered the pieces fit quite well
The slivers are content to rest where they fell
We may be bleeding but damn it we're glad
We're smart enough to know when we've been had
I'm a fool and a lover and I worry as it is
When I feel happy I panic and I panic as I live
But I can build things mighty and pointed and tall
A super bit of something that'll blow a hole in the wall
Yet sadly I'm fragile, and as weak as can be
I need a certain sensible female to make something out of me
At a certain point I was able to break free
Things in perspective aren't as bad as they seem
Her lips, her eyes, those hips and those sighs
It's all we can do to keep our feelings right
And for nothing less than a bit of our time,
we'll be able to keep this thing of ours alive.
And here comes another love song.
i like the poem. i don't think you're a fool.
you're a great writer. keep up the writing. never let anyone tell you that you can't write a poem, cuz it'd be a lie.
i'm the one who commented on your "stoner" poem, just different account info, cuz this guy named afzal shauq won't leave me alone.
