The world must take part
in such epic conflicts
As this seems inevitable
I must interject with this
This lesson
This theory
of which I've created
To these leaders
These enemies
Of these wars they have hosted
Listen now and listen well
Before you enjoy your victory
Of this day
There is no such thing as evil
Overtaking the light
in any possible way
In theory
Light shall always
burn through the black
But once again in theory
Since everyone seems to think
that their own purity is fact
There is no bad, no evil, no wrong
It is simply a crossed matter
of opinion, going on for far too long
Example
An empty room
No windows, no lights
Dominated by black
Hostile zone
always awaiting the fight
But reassurance
is easy to obtain
For when a simple candle burns
The darkness fades
Darkness can blind
It can confuse
and it can strike fear
But it cannot over power
the light from any source
Which presents a problem here
There is no real evil
It's just what certain people's
Views may be composed of
They create
their own evil
Which must be disposed of
War itself
Is widely based
On serendipity
A grand gamble
Of human life and emotion
and we are told to show pity
Good is fighting good
Of a different race
and a different mind
They play god
With an enemie's sacrifice
using a soul they may never find
Screaming into the blank sky
Mothers and daughters weep
Hearing the echo's of a lovers death
As they plead for sleep
Oh how life could change
If somebody would just open their eyes
Realize the pain they cause for a stupid belief
And how heartless they are for manipulating so many lives
My tears flow freely
Make no real attempt
To hold them inside
I don't understand anybody
Why they act the way they do,
How they think or why
What I think is
That this loss isn't necessary
And what I know is
...that nobody gives a damn what I think.
That was incredible, Rob. I especially liked the rhyme scheme.
