Country Girl

That city life just ain't for me

I'd rather be in the back country.

Living on a farm, eatin things I grow,

Wakin up at dawn when the roosters crow.

Feedin all the critters, tendin to the land,

fixin whats broken while workin on my tan.

A shot of Jack at the end of my day,

Takin my baby for a roll through the hay.

Endin each day with a goodnight kiss,

life cant get much better than this.

...Chorus... I'm proud to be a girl from the south.

Sweet as candy with a real smart mouth.

A Southern Belle with a rebel side.

Flyin ol Dixie on the back of my ride.

An angel in boots here to rock your world.

Hell yeah darlin im a country girl.

Cruising down the back roads of my hometown

Blastin ol' Hank with my windows rolled down.

Sweet smell of honey suckles floating in the air.

Enjoyin My life without a worry or a care.

Im never scared to get rough or loud,

Always try to make my mama real proud.

I bow my head each time i pray

and thank the Lord for a beautiful day.

I Count each day as another blessin,

Acceptin my mistakes are just part of the lesson.

...Chorus... I'm proud to be a girl from the south.

Sweet as candy with a real smart mouth.

A Southern Belle with a rebel side.

Flyin ol Dixie on the back of my ride.

An angel in boots here to rock your world.

Thank God almighty, im a country girl.
