To be in love is supposed to be heaven.
Supposed to--but it's not.
There was so much i wanted to say.
So much i didn't get to tell you.
There was the love, the pain, the inner torment,
The past i tried to hide.
I'm sorry i couldn't be the perfect girlfriend,
I'm sorry that i can't stop my tears,
but your love DID mean everything to me.
It was the reason i survived.
And now you are gone.
I can't say you hate me
because I'm not sure if you do.
But i can say I'm sorry
and it's pure hell missing you.
I am in love--though not loved.
that is a pain worse than death.
so many lies surround us.
i thought you knew.
i thought you were different.
But in the end i found.
You were just like them.
I'm sorry I'm not perfect.
Nobody is.
I got myself stuck
and couldn't get out.
I ended up hurting you
but you hurt me too.
in a hundred ways i can name
you made me feel
unwanted, undeserving, hated, and not needed.
and while you did make me want to live
now i want to die.
I can not say i hate you.
i don't.
i still love you and i always will.
I can say I am happy a million times.
but it doesn't change anything.
Just because people say things
doesn't mean you should listen.
Love is supposed to overcome all
even the mistakes
and if it can't
then it was never love to begin with
and all the "I'm sorry's" will never be enough.
but even while i know this
here i am
saying it again.
i am sorry.
there is so much you don't know,
so much you think you do.
and if you even asked and listened
you would know i speak the truth
and you are wrong.
be angry all you want
i loved you and was forever by your side.
i still do love you
But I'm saying goodbye.
no more pain, or tears, or hate, or anger.
it's over and as you said to me:
"We are through. You mean nothing to me."
