Mom,

Remember when I was young and I would watch you sew?

I'd watch your nimble fingers repeat the sewing motions again and again,

just wanting to be like you!



Well we've grown and nothing seems practical,

I still long to be like you,

perfect and thoughtful!



You've always been there for me,

providing all the answers and making life worth while,

You help ne start out new and finish with a smile!



Mom,

You know when I'm stealing you things?

Your jackets, earrings, perfumes?

It's beacause I love to be like you, the seet vanilla scent of your perfume and all!



I know this sounds like i'm in love with you, not at all!

I just never realized how much I take for granted.



Mom,

You know me better than anyone,

my favorite food and all.

Your the blanket that wraps around me when I'm cold,

and the arms that catch me when I fall.



So I hope your day is special and everything goes right! Just relax and let me repay you, so just sit tight!
