What is it that we hide?

Keeping the pain inside,

Silver tears in my eyes,

Whenever we say our goodbyes.



Tell me why it hurts to leave,

Whenever I stand alone I want to grieve,

Hide from the world till it goes away,

While wondering if it was a dream I portrayed.



I just wanna cry,

lay down and die,

It's a stab in the heart,

Whenever we are apart,

But tis pure bliss,

Whenever we kiss.



Pain is constantly thirsty,

Drinking from those who want mercy,

And why is it that it never goes away,

It lingers in our souls and that is where it must lay.



The stinging sensation of pain,

Beats down on me like the rain,

Thundering loudly inside,

And without you I'd die.
