Well if you wanted me to be true it's all you had to say,

i figured you would too, it's better off this way,

can't forget our memories, constant replay,

can't tell the truth to friends so i say i'm okay,

this wears me out, barely catch sleep,

constantly it feels like someone will creep,

this hopeless romantic lifestlye doesn't come cheap,

she's counting her blessings, i'm miscounting sheep,

she acted like she meant it, then it all changed,

acted like we could go far, truly deranged,

must be we couldn't ever be arranged,

so you return me, hearts are exchanged,

used to kiss so much you'd miss curfew,

in the front seat bags were left askew,

there is only one thing left to ask you,

how'd you cut us if i thought we were bamboo?
