Why is it so cold for cold hearted men,
when two are in love is it warm anywhere else but the bed,
I must have died a year ago since i no longer feel free,
i would have much rather disappeared than walk around like a zombie,
wish i may, wish i might, wish upon a star within my sight,
wish i did, wish i could, go back in time and ask why for you i did not fright.

I have gotten over the initial shock and surprise,
i am way past regretting and wondering what were lies,
i spot you here and there when you need a dime,
at least i can look at you and thank the skies you are not mine,
wish i did, wish i could, be the one who finally split us for good,
wish i may, wish you could, become nothing but a girl who was left where she stood.
