Falling leaves gather,
under my feet.
Words they blather,
in a childish treat.
Pile them high,
Crawl inside.
I hope they're dry,
Its time to hide.
One.. two..three,
I can hear .. ready or not.
Silently still no one can see,
in this pile the leaves rot.
Then giggles are heard,
my favorite Symphony.
Dad your such a nerd,
snatch them up joyfully.
Autumn measures,
a happy meter.
Family pleasures,
a hot cocoa heater.
Simple memories last forever,
small to us but meaningful to our little ones.
Filling them up with memories they treasure,
Playing with nature not guns.
Calling on all the inner children,
Forget life's pressures.
Give them a million,
memories are precious.
Dedicated to my wonderful children
Who have grown to become empathic compassionate
With a love for life. I am proud to be their father.
Autumn love.

Autumn Love
It's good to know that family life is still enduring. Yes the memories we help our children make will be an invaluable as they too grow up and older. I also expect that your children are proud of you and your sense and values of family life. Great read.

Thank you for your thoughts.
Thank you for your thoughts. Family is what keeps this heart beating.
I think I'm more proud of them. Rightfully so. Thx again for the shared wisdom
