Limbo ( A poem by my son 10 year old)

The dark world unknown,
The feelings of despair and being alone
A little boy wonders in curiosity
Without knowing the dangers, which are yet to be.

The wind howls and fiercely blows
As he saves himself from the threatening claws
Suddenly it all goes quiet and still
In the air there is a creepy chill

But there’s one missing detail…
As he tracks up and down the trail

In this dark and mystic world unknown

Author's Notes/Comments:

My son who is 10 year old wrote this poem inspired by a game he plays on his PS3. I am impressed by his effort though it is a bit dark but I thought I should share it. Would love some comments

Amazing insight for a ten

Amazing insight for a ten year old...but too, there may be some things designed into the video games now that suggest thisntype of thinking. Whatever the case, very good writing for a ten year old!!! Wonderful. I know you are a proud daddy!

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "'s picture

He has some insight we do not expect, least of all through reading his thoughts... I wonder why he wrote in the third person and not the first. Is this cultural style, or him?
