Just A Dream

It's just you and me,

Together under a tree,

No one else is around,

All I can hear is one sound.

It's my heart beating,

And it's beating for you,

And my lungs are breathing,

It's all for you too.

I pull you closer,

Our hearts beat at the same pace,

My memories of you is what I keep most safe.

And now I pull out of my pocket,

A golden key,

I whisper in your ear,

"Now you hold me."

So you take it,

Not saying a word,

But your heart tells me,

You wouldn't trade it for the world.

We lean in close,

For a passionate kiss,

Then I wake up,

The best part I just missed.

I look on my dresser,

And I see a golden key,

It's broken in half,

Why does this happen to me?
