The bright sunshine glows unto my face

Highlighting all the details of my features

Enriching the contours and depth.

I lay in the sunshine

Which beams through my window

Thinking about the days to come

and how different everything will be.

Having her cry, laugh, smile

Seeing the love through our eyes for one another

The miracle of motherhood

the life changing experience.

Watching her grow from a tiny infant

to a toddler and eventually into her own person.

Excitement flows through my veins

As I await the arrival

Longing to see her

To nurse her

To take care of her

So much to look forward to.
